Think of a number. Double it. Add 10. That’s about how long Graham has been working as a Travel Manager.
It was an obvious career choice for Graham who has had a passion for travelling since a young age. His fervent desire to explore the world is reflected in the long list of countries he has explored.
From the mountains of Austria, to the breweries of Belgium and the wildlife of Canada. He has skied some of the most beautiful slopes of France and experienced aerobatics over New Zealand’s South Island.
He’s fortunate to have a wealth of amazing travel memories but says New York has to be one of his favourite destinations. From neon-lit Times Square to sprawling Central Park, he loves the sights, sounds and electric atmosphere.
Vastly different, but equally mesmerising, was his trip to Egypt. “I saw the Great Sphinx of Giza from the back of a camel,” Graham says. “The intensity of Egypt’s pyramids and structures have to be seen to be believed.”
An enthusiast of ancient architecture, Graham has also been to Macchu Picchu and has great suggestions for those looking to visit this South American icon. “I caught the famous Hiram Bingham luxury train back to Cuzco, and it was one of the most special travel experiences I’ve ever had,” says Graham. “But I can also suggest other, adventurous ways to navigate the citadel, if a luxury train’s not your style.”
Just when you think Graham has experienced enough outstanding travel moments for one person, he will tell you he was lucky (or unlucky?) enough to get up close and personal with lions in Africa – during mating season!
It’s obvious; this Travel Manager doesn’t do things in halves. So if you’re looking for a complete travel plan that suits your aspirations, budget and timeframe, you’ve met your match in Graham.
Though a specialist in sporting events and cruising, he will help you with any kind of overseas itinerary.

It’s not all that often that you meet someone who has travelled to all seven continents.
Throughout her many years of travel industry experience, Amanda has found the time to visit the white sand beaches of Mexico, the fanciest hotels in Singapore and the elusive streets of Cuba.
“Cuba would have to be my all-time favourite destination. I loved the vibrancy of Old Havana with its eclectic mix of old and new,” says Amanda. “I felt as though I'd stepped back into the 1950s with the colourful old cars, cobbled streets and dilapidated buildings. Cuba is definitely a destination to awaken your senses!”
With almost 60 country’s stamps in her passport, it’s no wonder that Amanda is a specialist in detailed airfare itineraries. She loves putting together round-the-world fares and any seemingly ‘tricky’ schedules, and prides herself on finding the best value and shortest route.
If you’re seeking first-hand stories from Antarctica, Amanda is one of the rare people who can offer them.
“Travelling to Antarctica was truly a life changing experience. Sitting for hours on snow laced beaches watching penguins, seals and other amazing wildlife carry on their daily activities was a highlight for me. South Georgia and The Falkland Islands were unexpected gems, overflowing with unique bird life and history; they should definitely be incorporated on your voyage south!”
One client trip that stands out in Amanda’s memory is a destination wedding in Fiji. Together with the bride, she organised flights, accommodation, and day trips for the happy couple and their 60 guests.
“When I saw the wedding photos and found out what a fabulous time everyone had I felt so proud to have been a part of it. It was one of those fulfilling moments that remind me why I love my work!”
If you’re dreaming of your next holiday, kick things off by stopping into Madigan & Turner Travel Associates for a chat with Amanda. She’s almost guaranteed to have some gems to inspire the trip of a lifetime.
Bree’s love for all things travel began when she was 16 ... after a 2 week school trip to Japan....From then, she was on a mission to see the world...
She spent 2 years on a working holiday in the UK and 3 months travelling around South Africa before starting her career with the Flight Centre Group and now has over 13 years experience in the industry.
She's seen and experienced so much of the world with an enviable list including Europe, South Africa, Japan, Bali, Hawaii, Fiji, Thailand, USA, South Pacific, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and all over Australia.
With so many favourite destinations it's not easy to choose just one but Europe does hold a place in her heart, particularly for the architecture and its extremely rich history and of course the culinary delights!
Bree says she could wander for hours getting lost on the cobbled streets, beautiful buildings and gorgeous scenery. Bree loves nothing more than planning the ideal trip for clients, from a family beach holiday in Fiji or a once in a lifetime adventure across Europe or the USA. Her favourite part is when they get back as she can’t wait to hear all about it!
“Cross your fingers” is Brenda’s top tip for seeing the Northern Lights.
It worked for her clients on a recent trip to Iceland! Brenda had planned the timing and tours down to a T, but she knew from experience how temperamental the Northern Lights can be. Luckily, like all Brenda’s clients, the couple enjoyed the trip of a lifetime, which included several viewings of the Aurora Borealis.
Speaking to this couple upon their return reminded Brenda of why she loves her job so much:
“The best feeling there is, is when you speak to your clients when they return home and their holiday was even better then they had imagined. When they can't stop talking about their experiences and keep thanking you for the carefree trip they had - those are the moments that I live for.”
Brenda’s had plenty of experience making dream holidays come true, and her passion for seeking out the extraordinary extends to her clients’ itineraries. With a vast array of countries under her belt, she can recommend everything from a river cruise through Paris to must-dos in the Red Centre.
“In some destinations you just have to stop yourself, find a nice spot to sit and watch the world go by. India is a perfect place for just that. Take in your surrounds, and really notice things like the cows in the street, the kids playing with a tyre, the old lady selling her potatoes and the smell of the beautiful food. It’s an experience you will not forget and it doesn't cost a thing.”
Brenda is an avid foodie, and recommends you take a street food tour in whatever destination you’re visiting.
“Every country has its own amazing specialties. It is always hard to find out what they are, so a guided tour through the street stalls turns up treasures that you might miss otherwise!”
Stop by Madigan & Turner Travel Associates to chat with Brenda about your favourite food! There’s a good chance she’ll be able to tell you where to find the best version in the world.
If you’ve ever wanted to enjoy a husky ride across the fairytale landscape of Scandinavia, Fiona can tell exactly what to expect.
One of the highlights of her vast travel experience is a visit to Norway, where she slept in a snow hotel and floated in the Barents Sea amidst gently falling snowflakes in addition to her husky sledding adventure.
If you are dreaming of a warmer holiday, Fiona’s got plenty of tips on where to get a tan; - she lived in Fiji for four years as child, and also has stamps from the Bahamas, Thailand and Malaysia in her passport.
“I love to see the excitement in my clients’ faces when planning the perfect trip for them,” says Fiona, “whether it is within Australia or overseas. It’s truly gratifying to help them plan the trip of a lifetime, and give them tips and trips on places I have personally visited.”
Europe is another region that Fiona can offer her expertise on. She recently enjoyed a motor home exploration of Spain with her family:
“We didn’t really make plans for our three-week journey, which gave us the freedom to stop where we liked. If we came across a little town that we liked, we’d simply pull up, jump out and wade into the culture of the Spanish countryside.”
From domestic flights to worldwide cruises, Fiona has a wealth of detailed knowledge that can help turn your holiday dreams into the trip of a lifetime. Visit her at Madigan & Turner Travel Associates to start planning a trip that exceeds all your expectations of wonderful.
More than a decade in the travel industry has given Nicky the professional know-how to pull together itineraries for her clients with expert precision. And though she enjoys the satisfaction of planning the perfect holiday for clients at all stages of life, it is the delight in seeing the impact travel can have on her clients that makes all the effort worthwhile.
“No two people are the same and no two holidays are the same, which means that expectations are extremely varied. When I see clients’ happy holiday snaps and I know I played a small part in creating that moment… there is no better feeling.”
With multiple industry accreditations, Nicky is well-versed in planning travel; however, it is her own travel experience that gives her an edge. She has travelled to more than 30 countries, with plans to see many more.
“Until I’ve travelled to every inch of this amazing world, I can’t have a favourite destination … But I do love the USA for it’s diversity and size; Spain for it’s beauty and food; and the South Pacific Islands for their calming culture.”
It doesn’t matter if you’re hoping to plan your first overseas trip, or you’re an empty nester looking to reconnect while discovering the beauty of the world one far flung destination at a time, Nicky can help you put together an itinerary that surprises and delights while meeting every last requirement.
“My career highlights range from sending the young ones off on their first overseas holiday without mum and dad to planning a honeymoon that helps set a great start to married life! And then when you’re asked to create their first family holiday a couple of years later, you know you’ve done something right! Then there’s a retiree who start with a little holiday to celebrate a lifetime of working and come back wanting more.”
She takes pride in booking a fantastic holiday experience no matter what the destination, but she has developed a bit of a specialty when it comes to cruising. Be it river or ocean, she knows her stuff.

Wondering how to jump straight into the intricacies of a new culture? Julie says there’s nothing like a cooking class to help you immerse yourself in local wisdom.
“While in Barcelona I took part in an amazing class in a quaint little cooking school in a small, back streets restaurant. The chef taught us about the significance of tapas and how to make proper sangria and paella. Of course the best part is getting to eat all your accomplishments!”
With a vast collection of travel experience, Julie can offer some valuable tips. She knows where to find the best snorkelling on Gilli Trawangan, a small island off the coast of Lombok. Julie can also tell you what it’s like to do a homestay in Cambodia, explore the winding alleyways of Tokyo and attend the Rainforest World Music Festival in Sarawak, Borneo.
For Julie, the experience that tops off all these incredible moments was the time she organised a wedding cruise for clients.
“The bride and groom didn’t want a wedding, and they booked a cruise ship ceremony thinking that only a small group could make it. It turned into a huge event, with nearly 30 cabins booked and over 80 guests attending. I also had the pleasure of organising the party’s flights, cruise extras and a few little treats for the bride and groom. To be part of this special trip was one of the most satisfying experiences of my career.”
It is Julie’s pleasure and privilege to send clients on a dream holiday or help them fulfil a bucket list wish. The part she enjoys the most, though, is hearing all about their trip when they return, which puts a smile on their face as well as her own.
Stop by Madigan & Turner Travel Associates to talk to Julie about your next adventure!
Teagan works from home with her beloved repeat clients and is happy to assist new clients she meets through referrals.
Given her love of adventure travel, it’s no surprise that many of the nearly 50 countries Teagan has visited are slightly off the beaten track, think Bolivia, Colombia and Syria among half a dozen others. However, she is just as well versed in popular destinations across Europe, Asia and more.
If you’re planning a trip to Central or South America, she has a wealth of personal experiences to share, from swimming with pink river dolphins in Bolivia to paragliding over the Sacred Valley near Cuzco, Peru. Knowing the huge range of activities on offer means Teagan can help her clients enjoy magical moments of their own.
This diversity of Teagan’s travel experience means she has recommendations all over the world. In Europe, for example, her must-see city is Prague, “the old town and its history are mesmerising,” she says. Her top tip for Prague is to visit Petrin Hill for fantastic views over the city.
“Travel is my passion, and to be able to explore new places through my clients eyes is a highlight. I love that I can play a part in people’s adventures around the world as travel is such a wonderful life-changing experience,” says Teagan.
