For some people, a holiday is synonymous with lazing by a resort pool, with a cocktail in hand. Harry is not one of those people.
This spirited Travel Manager loves adventurous and active travel. "I love going somewhere new, to do a run, go for a ride, or master a climb," he says. "Then afterwards, enjoy the local food and wine," Harry says this is his idea of a perfect holiday but admits; it doesn't always play out like this. "Sometimes I am happy to skip straight to the food and wine," he laughs.
When Harry speaks of ‘active travel’ he’s not referring to a stroll by the river or a bike ride to the markets. He has summited Africa’s highest dormant volcano, the famous Mount Kilimanjaro. “I remember being eye-level with a Boeing 747 from the top,” Harry says. “It was an incredible experience, one I’ll never forget.”
Harry believes you don't have to venture to the other side of the world for an epic adventure; he rates Queenstown as one of his favourite destinations. "The vibe is always great there during the ski season and there's a tonne of exciting things to do,” he says. “But it’s just as worthwhile going during the warmer months too. There are great walks and mountain-bike trails, and a plethora of bars, restaurants and wineries.”
Harry says he was "lucky enough" to participate in the Queenstown marathon while he was there. Running 42 kilometres through New Zealand's mountain ranges is not everyone's idea of a holiday, but you've got to take your hat off to him either way.
This business owner works hard but plays hard too. He loves international food and wine and always encourages his clients to choose the restaurant where the staff don't speak English. "It might seem like the more difficult decision to start with, but if you want an authentic and local experience on your travels, this is the best way to get it,” he says. “It might mean you need a local guide to get you there, but I can arrange that for you.”
You might be wondering if this busy and energetic manager ever switches off. And to that, Harry says, he has discovered his version of paradise. “The Cook Islands is heaven on earth,” he says. “Do the lagoon cruise from Aitutaki and you’ll see why.”
For a holiday that’s guaranteed to get your blood pumping, see Harry.
A passionate, proactive travel agent, Jannett has carved out a successful career in consulting, thanks to her excellent customer service and desire to make people's dreams come true. Her bubbly personality has seen her form many friendships with clients and she loves hearing about their adventures upon their return from holidays.
She's travelled to different corners of the world, from Singapore to Salzburg and America to Athens. The beaches are the bluest of blue and there is a great community vibe, perfect for couples and families.
Another special place for Jannett is Santorini. With stunning views, clear skies and warm days it is the closest thing to heaven on earth. It may therefore come as no surprise that she lived and worked in this paradise for three years and also speaks Greek.

Melanie loves travelling because it brings you together with like-minded people. “There is always someone, somewhere who is interested in similar things to you,” she says. “Just like that, you have something in common with a stranger; a love for travelling.”
This couldn’t be truer for Melanie, who met her now-husband in New Zealand. “I will always have a soft spot for Queenstown for that reason,” she says. “It’s also where he proposed to me five years later!”
Now with young children of her own, Melanie is passionate about coordinating family holidays. “I’ve learned from experience how to travel well with young ones,” she says. “Being able to help others do the same, and introduce them to some interesting, different places is really special.”
Melanie recalls the most spectacular afternoon spent snorkelling, swimming and feeding fish in a water hole in Vanuatu. She was clever enough to take life vests on the trip for the kids, so they could all enjoy the scenery, without worrying about safety.
Thanks to special tips like this, Melanie is a sought-after Travel Manager. Her travel knowledge is a culmination of her personal travel experience and 11 years of working in the industry. Melanie says a lot of her great recommendations also come from speaking to locals directly.
“I love speaking to locals to find out where they eat or shop, then going to check that out,” she says. “Often it’s somewhere you’d least expect; down a street with no signage.”
Melanie also recommends allowing plenty of time to discover places, to make the holiday more relaxing. “Allow extra days here and there to catch your breath,” she suggests. “Sometimes it’s at these in-between places that you’ll uncover an amazing new experience.”
From witnessing the changing of the guard in London, to sipping champagne in the middle of the Serengeti, Melanie has a wealth of incredible travel experiences – and she’s more than happy to craft similar magical moments for her clients.

As someone who believes in the motto, you have to experience travel in order to be able to give the best advice, Tania has criss-crossed the globe in search of the best travel destinations and holiday experiences including exploring Vanuatu, New Zealand, Bali, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Ireland and Scotland.
Tania has lived, worked, and played in Lake Tahoe, USA; Munich in Germany and the buzzing metropolis of London in the UK. She has shopped on 5th Avenue in New York; skied the Austrian Alps in Kitzbuel; enjoyed the culinary delights of Hong Kong; taken a breathtaking helicopter ride over the Olgas and Uluru; felt the roar trackside at the Malaysian Grande Prix; cheered on the Yankees at Yankee Stadium and island hopped through Fiji on a tall ship.
She has extensively travelled through the Middle East including Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and United Arab Emirates. Tania's favourite travel memories of this area include staying at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai - the only 7-star hotel in the world; sailing down the Nile on a Felucca; exploring the pyramids in Giza; wandering through the magical Rose City in Petra, Jordan; taking a midnight hike to the peak of Mt Sinai to watch the sun rise over mysterious Egypt; and sipping champagne aboard a Santorini Sunset Cruise – watching the brilliant white buildings be painted a wash of warm colours.
Tania also rates staying in an overwater bungalow with a private plunge pool set amidst the crystal clear waters of the Maldives; enjoying a scrumptious 5-course meal in Montecatini in the hills of Tuscany; dinner at the Eiffel Tower, before a short drive out to the Moet & Chandon wineries in Champagne, France; riding through Central Park New York in a horse and carriage; and having a Pimms and lemonade at Wimbledon as some of her other memorable travel moments.
If you ask Peter to name his favourite destination, he will tell you: it’s impossible to pick just one standout, as each country has its own special flavour and he remembers them for different reasons.
Peter loves Quebec City, Canada for its rich history. One of the oldest European settlements in North America, he says this French-Canadian hub is full of soul.
He enjoys visiting the USA for its unrivalled National Parks. Peter says it’s special to be able to see the spectacular sites of Yellowstone, the grand allure of Yosemite, and of course, the grandest canyon all in one continent!
Peter says clients seeking spectacular mountain scenery shouldn’t overlook the magnetism of Innsbruck. Besides being an obvious hot spot for winter sports, it has amazing Imperial architecture.
If you’re contemplating a cruising holiday, speak to Peter, who has cruised through Australia, Asia, and Alaska. If you prefer to be behind the wheel of your itinerary, maybe a self-drive is more up your alley. Ask him about his adventure navigating the Canadian Rockies.
From big cities to modest country regions, Peter has covered a lot of ground during his 30-year tenure as a Travel Manager. It’s no surprise that after this long in the industry, Peter can craft a comprehensive itinerary with ease.
Take, for example, the two-year, round-the-world trip he planned for someone. So as not to overwhelm his client with too many booking details, Peter trickled through the itineraries in parts, allowing his client to switch-off and fully enjoy one country at a time.
Whether you’re looking at 24 months or just 24 days away, Peter will design your holiday with utmost attention and care.

Meet Kelly, she’s a fountain of travel knowledge.
With more than 35 countries peppered through her passport and 13 years experience as a Travel Manager, Kelly is evidently an expert in her field.
She’s put together so many impressive itineraries, including a multi-generational holiday for own grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary! "Coordinating experiences to suit people of all ages was challenging but fun," Kelly says. "It's got to be one of the most memorable holidays I’ve ever planned.”
Kelly says every destination has something special to offer but there are a couple of places in the world which have moved her more than most. “I think Egypt is incredible,” she says. “The culture is just so different to ours. Where else can you ride a donkey under the blistering and visit ancient tombs? Exploring the Valley of The Kings is one of my favourite travel memories.”
From the dessert sun to the glaring snow, Kelly is an ardent skier and loves booking ski holidays for families or groups. “It’s easy to plan an amazing snow holiday for others when it’s something I’m passionate!” she says. “I’ll never forget being in Aspen and drinking après-ski cocktails with the rich and famous! I can't promise you too will drink alongside celebrities, but I can certainly send you to the hot-spots!"
Speaking of celebrities, Kelly can tell you a hilarious tale of a time she was mistaken for a celebrity whilst eating lunch at the La Piazetta in Italy. “I’m still not sure who they thought I was,” she laughs. “But I sure enjoyed their generous hospitality!”
Whether you're looking to take cooking classes in China or snorkel the pristine waters of the Maldives, Kelly can offer first-hand advice. No matter where you choose to go, or what experiences you seek to partake in, Kelly will have you feeling like royalty too.
We think the fact that Ornella has been in the industry for more than 25 years and can speak three languages says enough about her exceptional travel management skills. Okay, we’ll elaborate.
Ornella's appreciation for travelling spans from wild and remote parts of Africa to the built-up, bustling arrondissements of Paris. She says sleeping under the stars in Maasai Mara, Kenya is an experience she'll never forget. "If you enjoy nature and wildlife, then this is utopia," she says. It's humbling to be surrounded by such beautiful national park; you're completely circled by trees and scrub, it's just you and the wildlife. This region is famous for a high population of lions, leopards, nd cheetahs so when it comes to spotting animals in their natural environment, you're spoilt for choice.
From predators to pastry, Ornella rates Paris as her favourite destination. She says it is a vibrant city, full of life and rich with history. “Each time I have visited has resulted in a different experience,” she says. “Sometimes it’s the people that make it, other times it’s all about the food. The culture, well, it is special every time.”
So what's one of her greatest tips when visiting the romantic world-city? "Stroll around the pedestrian zone of Montreuil, which is in the 1 st and 2 nd arrondissement,” she says. “It’s lined with amazing restaurants, quaint cafes, bakeries, cheese shops, wine stores and flower stalls.
Everything that is quintessential to Paris is all in one cosy district. It’s where local Parisians go to socialise while they do their daily shopping.”Ornella also tells her clients to pay a visit to the Montparnasse Tower when they are in Paris. She says it’s one of the best spots from which to view the Eiffel Tower.
It’s clear, that when you book a holiday with Ornella, you become privy to destination secrets that leave you feeling less like a tourist and more like a local.
Ornella always goes out of her way to provide top quality service to her clients. She says after so many years in the job, it’s the client satisfaction that keeps her coming back. “I once organised a 60 th birthday party for a lady who had always dreamed of going to the Island of Skopelos, that’s featured in the Mamma Mia movie,” she says. “Not only did she get there, I organised for a group of her friends to join her. My client said it was more than she ever imagined and the best birthday present she’d had in her life. Words can’t explain how it feels to make someone’s dream become a reality. It brings me so much joy.”
When you think of it that way, you really ought to do Ornella a favour and go on a holiday.
