A relaxing resort stay in NSW

28th March 2014

Recently married, Travel Associates consultant Anna Mashei celebrated her honeymoon in the beautiful Tweed Heads and Northern New South Wales River Region. With a stay at one of the region’s most popular resorts and sightseeing tours up and down the coastal area, this was a true Travel Associates style experience.

With convenient direct service from Adelaide, Anna and her new husband boarded a Virgin Australia flight to the Gold Coast where they were less than a 30 minutes drive away to their ‘home away from home’, the contemporary and fashionable Pepper Salt Resort and Spa, “just a five minute drive from Kingscliff,” Anna added.

Resort Living

This seaside resort features contemporary one, two and three bedroom suites, many of which are fully self contained and come with all the modern conveniences. Just a short walk down a sandy trail, guests will find the dazzling beach which stretches for as far as the eye can see. The area is the perfect location for swimming and surfing, as Anna added, This is “a great spot, and it was our honeymoon, so it was all pretty special.”

If you prefer your downtime poolside, the inviting outdoor recreation area features oversized lounge chairs made for two. These delightful, umbrella covered day beds are separated by their own patio style deck areas that extend out into the lagoon pool. Each daybed patio comes with its own private ladder for convenient access into the refreshing water. For that welcoming tropical feel, there’s even a captivating sandy beach area which is cleverly incorporated into the design of the large pool. Just swim up to the ‘beach’ and have a rest under the sun on the warm sand.   When you’re ready for a cocktail or cold drink, the bar is just steps away.

Exploring the Tweed and Lennox Head

From Lennox Head and Byron Bay, with their stunning cliff tops and seaside hikes to the lively Gold Coast, the honeymoon couple visited the picturesque beaches and towns and took in many of the beautiful coastal sites. Anna was struck by the natural allure, saying, “The coastline of Northern New South Wales is really beautiful,” before adding “we even drove up to Sea World for the day, and that was really fun!”

Having experienced much of what Northern New South Wales has to offer, Anna knows first-hand what makes a holiday to this area a great one.
