A typical day in Las Vegas? Forgeddaboutit. There’s no such thing in the world’s entertainment capital. Let’s assume you got to bed at a reasonable hour last night, because today is going to be huge. A little fantastical license has been taken with the timings below, for this is Las Vegas, and anything is possible.
Get your Zen on at an early morning Yoga class in the underwater dolphin viewing area at The Mirage. Inspired by the acrobatic mammals, you invent a new position called ‘backwards blowhole’ and donate it to the hot instructor.
Drop a twenty on your birthdate number on a roulette wheel on the way back to your room. Collect winnings, tip croupier (this is the ideal day, remember?)
Swim, shower, dress then coffee and breakfast at your hotel.
Limousine (or shuttle pick up from your hotel if you want to save your roulette winnings) to Boulder City Municipal Airport. Quick selfie at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas town sign on the way.
Grand Canyon helicopter flight over Hoover Dam, and over and into the Grand Canyon with Papillon Tours. Champagne brunch on the canyon floor.
Late lunch at the renowned MGM Grand buffet.
Grab extra dessert as the ‘weight you put on in Vegas, stays in Vegas’. Or something like that.
Proceed to the Mob Museum. Buy T-shirt at gift shop that says "I went to the Mob Museum but I didn’t see nuthin."
Get married by Elvis at Vegas Weddings on South 3rd Street. This is a drive-through window wedding ceremony as time is short. "Love Me Tend..."
Head to Downtown for SlotZilla zipline ride, Air Bar flavoured oxygen hit and coloured cocktail in plastic yard glass.
Ride the ‘High Roller’ ferris wheel. Choose a bar pod and toast yourself as the sun goes down and the lights come up.
Pre-dinner cocktail at The Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan.
Dinner at Scarpetta at The Cosmopolitan. The Sicilian-spiced duck breast with preserved orange, root vegetables and caramelized endive, or the seared sea scallops with sunchokes and porcini mushrooms look nice. Or whatever – it’s all excellent. The Fountains of Bellagio spring into life as your entrée arrives.
You arrive just in time for tonight’s show, which happens to be your all-time favourite artist performing your favourite songs. Or go all "Oi! Oi! Oi!" and see Human Nature.
Nightcap at Mandarin Bar at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Chill to the classy jazz ensemble and twinkling view.
Wander the Strip in your wedding attire and luxuriate in the energetic vibe, bizarre sights and all-round fantasy of where you are. The Fountains of Bellagio again burst into life as you pass.
Your table at Fizz nightclub is ready, compliments of the management who are in awe of the itinerary you completed today. Dance ‘til 3am.
Back to your hotel to complete your wedding night in Vegas.
