Russell & Turner Travel Associates is a boutique style travel agency service, designed to cater for the frequent and more discerning traveller in search of new experiences or the ultimate in luxury holidays. We offer exclusive packages, escorted and special interest tours, luxury cruises and holidays with a difference.

Russell & Turner Travel Associates is based on the Sunshine Coast, and is part of the national Travel Associates brand. Personal travel consultation is available by appointment from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Craig Russell

Craig has travelled to approx 80 countries and backpacked for 4 and a half years from 1989 to 1993. Highlights of his travels include the Trans Manchurian Train from Beijing to Moscow and working in the UK, Israel, and an Austrian Ski Resort for 3 winters. Craig has trekked the Ruwenzori Mountains in Uganda and the Inca Trail in Peru, sailed through the Caribbean and dived in Egypt, Mexico, the Great Barrier Reef, Maldives, Vanuatu and Fiji. Other highlights include skiing in Australia, Europe, NZ, South America, USA and Canada, walking on the Great Wall of China, into the lost city of Petra and through the Amazon Forests. In his travels Craig has also driven across the Kalahari Desert and the Nullabor Plains, lived with families in Russia, Turkey, Israel, Bulgaria and Romania. Visited the Taj Mahal, Ankor Wat, the Pyramids and Machu Pichu, sat with the Mountain Gorillas in Zaire and flown over Victoria Falls in a hang glider, seen glaciers and waterfalls, mountains and desserts and scenery which will take your breath away.

Craig is passionate about travel, 'I have been very fortunate to be able to experience these and many more amazing sights around the world. My passion is travel, I love being able to experience new sights and sounds and tastes and imparting those experiences on to others.'

His last 12 years of working for FCL has enabled Craig to fulfill his dreams looking forward to the new challenges and travels with enthusiasm.

Alanna Gray

Alanna has worked in the travel industry for over six years and travelled to a wide reaching range of countries including the USA, England, Ireland, Switzerland, France, Italy, Solomon Islands, New Zealand, Egypt, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Noumea, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tahiti and Norfolk Island.

Alanna's passion lays in helping her clients with unique and complex travel itineraries. She also looks forward to hearing all the stories and seeing the pictures on their return!

Of all the place's Alanna has visited so far, Sharm El Sheik in Egypt is the stand out favourite. The amazing blue water and incredible marine life make this a must see destination. She also recommends Switzerland for its inspiring natural beauty and says that everyone should experience a sunrise over Angkor Wat at least once in their lives.

Alanna is Russell & Turner Travel Associates' resident scuba diving and cruise expert and can personally recommend some of the world's best diving and cruising destinations.

Melissa Madigan

Whether it's meeting interesting people from around the world or the feeling of being a trusted resource for her clients, Melissa continues to enjoy every aspect of her travel career. With over 13 years experience offering exceptional customer service in the industry, her approach is to offer her client's something extra in their travel pursuits.

Melissa's first-hand destination knowledge extends from Scotland, Ireland and Wales in the United Kingdom across to many unique regions of Europe. One of Melissa's favourite travel memories is seeing in the New Year while in Rome - an experience she treasures with her partner.

Other journeys have led her to the cities and snow in Canada and from coast-to-coast in the United States. She has also touched down in India and explored many popular regions of Thailand and the Philippines. More recently, she experienced the timeless tropical playgrounds of Reunion Island and Mauritius. When searching for some rest and relaxation, Melissa has found it in Bali, Hawaii and closer to home in the South Pacific and sunny Queensland.

Some of Melissa's favourite travel destinations include San Francisco, New York, Rome, London and Singapore - each city alive with culture, fantastic culinary offerings and shopping. One of Melissa's passions is researching local restaurants/cafes or wine bars when travelling somewhere new, or getting the locals recommendations for the latest options in areas previously visited.

Melissa's passion for unique travel experiences is reflected in the inventive and exciting holiday itineraries she creates for clients. Often they include excellent tips, such as where to shop and eat, or where to go for the best spa treatments based on personal experience. Melissa also understands the important differences when it comes to arranging non-leisure travel. From business trips to small-group conferences and corporate getaways, Melissa delivers travel solutions for a range of clients in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
