Our store manager, Amy, has seen some amazing places around the world including Bali, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, many parts of Western Europe, India, Mauritius and South Africa.
Amy has been a travel consultant since 2005 and loves being able to have a part in creating a great travel experience for her clients - whether it be a quick luxury getaway to relax and recharge, or an in depth itinerary exploring a country that is not the usual holiday destination. For Amy, every day is different and there is always a new trip to help plan. Anything is possible!
Amy can't pick one place as her favourite...
"I love all places I travel to but for varied reasons, and many of the reasons seem to link back to my love of food. I loved Japan where I travelled to recently. I also love Scotland for its beautiful country side, amazing history and lovely people."
Her favourite travel memory is driving through Ireland with her fiancé Scott. Its narrow roads, hire car and lots of Lorries makes for a very interesting experience! But nothing beats sitting in a small Irish town and having a Guinness with the locals. For a luxury favourite, Mauritius with Beachcomber is definitely up there.
Cathrin has been a Travel Consultant since 2003. For Cathrin, the love of the job comes from helping to create a once in a lifetime experience for her clients. She looks forward to when her clients return from their travels to tell her all about the highlights and their favorite spots on their trip, from the small boutique bars to the fine dining experiences.
Cathrin has been to many parts of the world including Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bali, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, Istanbul, Spain, Dubai, Mauritius and Maldives. Her favourite part of the world is The Canadian Rockies. She spent a year in the Rockies and loved every single day. There are so many activities to do and see all year round, from skiing and ice hockey in the winter to hiking and white water rafting in the summer.
Of all the things that Cathrin has experienced, her favourite a snorkeling trip in Maui (Hawaii) to an extinct volcano crater. She snorkeled all the way along the crater seeing the most amazing colored fish and then stopped off on the way home to swim with beautiful giant sea turtles. A truly once in a lifetime experience!
Living in Canada for a year has made Cathrin a Canada expert. She was able to get a very good idea as to what the best activities would make up a fantastic trip.
