Tour Tuscany, Italy by Motorcycle
See the beautiful Northern Italian countryside on this 7 day tour by motorcycle on Ducatis, BMWs, Aprilias or Hondas. If you love twisty roads, beautiful scenery, great food, wine and Italian culture (Florence, Siena, Pisa, the Mediterranean coast, the 600 year old villages of Tuscany) this is the trip for you!
The tour operates as day trips out of Colle, and involves riding through the beautiful hills of Tuscany. In the day trips, visit Florence and Siena, two of the most beautiful cities in Europe, as well as the 600-800 year old hillside towns of San Gimignano, Volterra and Certaldo. Also visit the famous Chianti wine region south of Florence, and have a traditional Tuscan lunch high in the hills. Another trip involves a visit to the Mediterranean coast, which is very beautiful, with a great lunch of local seafood.
As well as the shorter day trips, longer trips to Bologna are available. The visit to Bologna, also a very beautiful city, is a real highlight. Here, visit the Ducati factory and museum, and then after lunch, ride over the famous Futa mountain pass to Florence.
Accommodation for all of the tour is in a beautiful self contained apartment in an old Tuscan farm villa just outside the village of Colle Di Val D'Elsa. The apartments are beautifully appointed and of a very high standard. The villa has a huge swimming pool and is located about 10 minutes walk from the bars, cafes and restaurants of Colle.
Prices commence from $3192* for a rider and $1956* for a pillion for a fully guided tour. Non-guided trips also available. The price includes all accommodation and bike hire. Airfares to Italy are additional.
