Born on the east coast of Malaysia, professional chef Tony Tan was a presenter on the SBS Television series The Food Lovers’ Guide to Australia and coordinated the Asian Food Festival Awards in Melbourne in 1997.
Over the years, he has presented Master Classes in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide, while, internationally, he has taught in Singapore, Shanghai, Madrid and Auckland. He also writes regularly on Asian food and culture and established his own cooking school in 2001.
In 2011, Tony Tan will be hosting 3 tours - Spain, Vietnam and China. These culinary journeys will introduce you to the undiscovered treasures of these fasinating destinations. Tony uses his extensive network of personal contacts to get you off the beaten track and into the true heart of the country.
