Escorted by gulls, petrels and majestic albatross, we depart Ushuaia, the town at the bottom of the world, landing on the South Shetland Islands then the Antarctic Peninsula. Spending as much time off the ship as possible, we come face to face with penguins, seals, and humpback and minke whales while cruising amongst massive ice shelves and beautifully sculpted ‘bergs.
