Hong Kong, China: International Dragon Boat Races
Witness the incredible spectacle of the Dragon Boat Races from the shores of the fabulous Hong Kong Harbour. The exciting event is held to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival (Tuen Ng). With crews of about 20 men straining on their paddles, these 15-metre-plus craft slice through the water at incredible speeds to the rhythmic beat thumped out by a drummer seated at the front of the boat. Teams from all over Asia travel to Hong Kong for the event.
