Arrive in Beijing, with so much to see in this fabulous city, choose what suits you. Perhaps a visit to the Great Wall of China, a ride in a cable car or a visit to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City followed by a delicious Peking Duck lunch. Fly to the Tang Dynasty capital, Xian. Explore ancient history with this treasure trove of Chinese civilisation. From a VIP viewing point, take in the Terracotta Warriors.
On Day 06 of your journey take a flight to Chongqing to board your Yangzi cruiser. Take a 3 day journey through the Three Gorges exploring this rather inaccessible area of thriving riverside towns and temples, dramatic cliff faces and sheer peaks. Disembark at Yichang and after lunch, fly to cosmopolitan Shanghai. Enjoy the glittering metropolis with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall or explore the French Concession. A journey of a lifetime.
