Exit Kenya and enter Tanzania at the border post at Namanga, visiting the village of Longido, a fascinating Masai community just after crossing the border. Spend some time with the local Masai community in their boma, learning about their amazing culture and unique way of life. Enjoy game drives in the world famous Serengeti and take an afternoon walk in foothills of Karatu. Go on a half-day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, undoubtedly the best single game-viewing experience in Africa. Descend 600 metres to the crater floor to explore this veritable 'Garden of Eden' seeing considerable quantities and varieties of animals, including highly endangered species such as the black rhinoceros.

Leaving the rim of the crater, walk into the tranquil highlands with impressive peaks, steep escarpments, crater lakes, dense forests, waterfalls and traditional villages of rarely visited local people. Covering just over seventy kilometres in four days, traverse part of the Rift Valley along a volcanic range of breathtaking beauty, trek to Nainokanoka, Empakaai Crater, Nairobi Village and Ngare Sero.

End your adventure by going on a full day walk into Ilkidin'ga and experiencing the traditional culture of the Arusha people before returning to Nairobi, Tanzania.

Your small group safari and moderate trek (maximum of 7 people) includes a local Peregrine tour leader, arrival transfer, transport, wildlife fees, game activities, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, camping equipment, accommodation (4 nights comfortable hotels, 4 nights camping, 1 night private lodge, 2 nights permanent tented camp) plus 11 breakfasts, 8 lunches and 7 dinners.
