Madagascar has been cut off from the African mainland for millions of years, resulting in a diverse number of endemic species and specialisations found nowhere else on earth. Of these, the lemurs have attracted special interest. From the indri indri lemur (the largest) of Perinet Special Reserve to the golden lemurs of Ranomafana National Park and the sifaka (dancing lemurs) of Berenty Reserve, these amazing primates will be a real highlight of your Madagascan adventure.

Visit various villages and remote communities including the Betsimisaraka tribe. Go on a night safari in the Perinet Special Reserve, home to nine species of lemurs, and for a walk at Orchid Park. Tour a semi-precious stone cutting centre in Antsirabe and a traditional woodcarvers centre in Ambositra. Relax in the hot springs of Ranomafana National Park exploring its huge tropical rainforests, home to 12 species of lemur, on foot.

Take in a sunset at 'fenêtre de l'Isalo'. Hike in Isalo National Park, known for the astounding natural beauty of its eroded sandstone massifs, to the 'natural swimming pool'. Visit the Mahafaly and Antandroy Tombs, Domergue Nature Reserve and spiny forest. Discover Lokaro Bay, a beautiful and unspoilt area of green hills, inland waterways, natural swimming holes and barrier beaches, and a fitting finale to our Madagascan adventure.

Your small group wilderness adventure and safari (maximum of 15 people) includes a local Peregrine tour leader, arrival transfer, transport, game activities, entrance and park fees, accommodation ( 3 nights guesthouse, 11 nights lodge), 14 breakfasts, 7 dinners, plus Tulear-Fort Dauphin and Fort Dauphin-Antananarivo local flights.
