YOUR 5 FAVOURITE HOLIDAY DIGS FROM HERE

5. Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, Broome
A short 2.5 hour flight from Perth took many Travel Associates clients to Broome this year —  gateway to the wilderness of the Kimberley and home to the beautiful Cable Beach. A fusion of Asian serenity and Colonial indulgence, Cable Beach Club Resort was among the most popular accommodation options anywhere this year. And why not? The bungalows, villas and suites nestled among the lush gardens are exceptional, and the resort celebrates the stunning WA sunsets, the regions pearling history and multicultural flavours.

4. Saffire Freycinet, Tasmania
The accolades for Saffire continued to flow this year, which cleaned up at the Boutique Hotel Awards 2014 among others. World's Best Boutique Hotel Winner? Check. Inspired Design Australasia Winner? Check. Culinary Excellence Winner? Check. We're so excited that more and more Travel Associates clients are ticking this Luxury Lodge of Australia off their bucket list. For those yet to experience the sophisticated and intimate style of Tasmania's luxury coastal sanctuary... believe the hype.

3. Peppers Broadbeach, Gold Coast
Soaring high above the city skyline with panoramic ocean and hinterland views, Peppers Broadbeach provided the perfect home-away-from home on the Gold Coast for Travel Associates clients this year. Those travelling with extended family or as a group of friends appreciated the Three Bedroom Skyhomes in particular, and the numerous temptations including restaurants, bars, shopping and attractions its location affords. We trust plenty of you took time out for signature spa treatment at endota spa too.

2. One&Only Hayman Island
The Whitsundays experienced an injection of glamour this July, with the opening of the rebranded One&Only Hayman Island. The celebrated island resort underwent an extensive multi-million dollar refurbishment, transitioning into the respected One&Only brand, with re-imagined rooms and suites and an overhaul of that iconic pool we all know and love. Hayman was the first One&Only property in Australia, but from early 2015 the brand is set to manage the exceptional Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa as well.

1. qualia, Hamilton Island
A unique Australian expression of world-class luxury, and second Luxury Lodge of Australia to make our shortlist, qualia has pride of place in the most secluded position of Hamilton Island. It's a truly special place where everything has been meticulously considered to relax the mind, yet completely spoil the senses. The exquisitely appointed pavilions provided the perfect base for Travel Associates clients travelling to experience this year's Audi Hamilton Island Race Week and the stunning Peter Thomson-designed Hamilton Island Golf Club.

5. Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa
The most popular choice for accommodation in the Maldives this year could be found surrounded by the blue ocean of the South Ari Atoll at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives. Besides the idyllic setting, replete with palm-fringed beach, overwater bungalows and shimmering lagoon, the other big attractions include the chance to discover exotic marine life on the house reef or the shipwreck dive site and the property's 'Ultimate All-Inclusive' concept making any stay truly carefree.

4. Banyan Tree Phuket, Phuket
Encircling the sparkling waters of a saltwater lagoon, the Banyan Tree Phuket is another oasis of peace and tranquility with sun-kissed beaches of glistening sand and coconut groves creating the perfect holiday setting. One of the fastest growing accommodation choices in Phuket for 2014, the resort offers a choice of five restaurants as well as in-villa and private dining options. You could say it's a bit of a 'his and hers' haven, with the ability to relax at the Banyan Tree Spa or enjoy a round at the Laguna Phuket golf course.

3. Double-Six Luxury Hotel, Seminyak
As many Travel Associates clients discovered this year, The Double-Six and its ‘all-suite’ luxury concept raised the bar for resorts fronting Seminyak's famous coastline. Where do we start? The 'apartment sized' suites designed by the mastermind behind Ku De Ta and the Cocoon beach club exude luxury in every possible sense. The hotel is also home to one of Asia's largest rooftop bars with 270-degree views of this famous coastline and Bali's first Vitality Sensory Hydro Trail experience at Acqua Perla Day Spa.

2. Halekulani, Waikiki
In July this year, Halekulani, arguably Hawaii's most acclaimed luxury hotel, celebrated it's 30th anniversary (even releasing "Celebrate", a private label Cab Sav produced in the Napa Valley  to mark the occasion). Three decades on, the Waikiki mainstay continues to blend understated elegance with exceptional service — reflected by it's growing popularity this year. In 2014 the hotel was integral to the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival for the fourth year running and on a related tip, you'd be hard pressed to find a better Mai Tai anywhere.

1. InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa
Inspired by the 'traditional outer island village' but contemporary in every possible way, this Fijian institution gets the gong as the most popular property booked at Travel Associates in 2014. Nestled among 14 hectares of lush tropical grounds, the resort is located on one of the 'world's best beaches' at Natadola Bay. Featuring five restaurants and bars, a serene spa, 18-hole championship golf course, three swimming pools, wedding chapel and kids club, it defines all that a tropical retreat should be.
