In November, a group Travel Associates consultants experienced an unforgettable trip to Tahiti and the magical island of Bora Bora.
Arriving in Papeete, the consultants enjoyed a two night stay at the Intercontinental Tahiti Resort. With a large infinity pool, lagoonarium, private beach, tropical gardens and well appointed rooms, the Resort offered a tranquil tropical ambiance and was a perfect introduction to French Polynesia. A highlight of this visit was a Tahitian traditional dance performance showcasing the rich culture and heritage of this pacific paradise.
From Papeete, the group travelled on to Bora Bora, a 45 minute flight across stunning blue waters. A first glimpse of Bora Bora revealed a sparkling turquoise lagoon, a ring of motu (islands) with palm trees and luxurious resorts overlooking the majestic Mount Otemanu on the island mainland.
Following a short and scenic boat ride from the airport, the group arrived at the spectacular Intercontinental Bora Bora & Thalasso Spa. This modern five star property features over-water bungalow accommodation with sundecks on the lagoon, contemporary décor throughout with Polynesian touches and gourmet cuisine with attention to detail at every level. The Deep Ocean Spa is the centrepiece offering a range of spa and deep sea water treatments. Days were spent admiring the picturesque surroundings, swimming in the lagoon, and enjoying jet-skiing and 4WD activities.
On the final day of the trip, an inspection of the newly opened Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora was arranged. This Resort represents the ultimate in luxury and offers both over-water suites and beachfront villas furnished in ultra modern comforts.
