Luxurious Middle Eastern Holidays
Arguably the cradle of civilisation, the Middle East is steeped in ancient traditions embraced by modern people. The religious significance is evident, the cultural importance is paramount and the natural beauty is captivating. For all its superlatives, few can really truly describe the region entirely. To describe Dubai as big for example hardly does it justice. Dubai is indeed one of the world’s most fascinating metropolises. A global city and major airline hub that stands proud as the Middle East’s most expensive city and home to the tallest building in the world – the Burj Khalifa. Like a Middle Eastern Las Vegas, Dubai is known to be ostentatious and hedonistic, where gambling is swapped for shopping and partying is replaced by Muslim traditions – a unique mix that needs to be experienced to be truly understood.
Contrasty, Dubai’s neighbouring city of Abu-Dhabi is where the traditions of the Middle East live on. Grand mosques, opulent palaces, cultural foundations and local markets are all parts of a puzzle to experiencing life through a local’s eyes. Although in spite of its supposed conservative image, Abu Dhabi isn’t without its super attractions as well – Ferrari World anyone?
Also in the region, Oman is another tourism hotspot. While it pales in popularity compared to its emirate neighbours, the Arab state probably prefers it that way, letting its incredible azure coastline and ancient history do all the talking.
